Free form and controlled objects, to me defines what my challenge is as
an artist. Old school demands concentration on "technique" I
set my own demands, control versus freedom of movement. Responsibility
and control versus abandoned frivolity! Technique is only of value if
you can go outside the controlled structure. Then it becomes pure
creativity, not just technique. If you have a canvas, are you limited
within the frame? Only if you allow it. That is the point. |
